It was one of the most anticipated games of the season. The #1 Ranked Alabama Crimson Tide at home in Tuscaloosa,Alabama would host the #7 Florida Gators. That anticipation which led up to the game itself would prove to be nothing more than a fizzle. The boys in Crimson scored on the very first drive of the game to lead 3-0 and would never look back. By the half Bama had increased their lead to 24-3 mostly off of turnovers by Florida. In the second half "The Tide" seemed to pull back and coast after another turnover(interception)by the Gators led to 7 more points for Alabama. The end of the game couldn't have come any sooner for the Gators who by now had turned the ball over some 4 times in a bitter 31-6 loss to the Crimson Tide.
No, it wasn't nearly the anticipated game we all thought we would see. Although the "BAMA" fans enjoyed the win over a long time rival, it didn't really showcase the extensive talent this Alabama team has shown this season. What it did show, however, is the problems the Gators are having offensively and with consistency. Yes, Urban Meyer has some work to do before these teams meet again. Until then, the Gators could all be "sittin' on the dock of the bay...watching the TIDE... ROLL AWAY" with win after win and possibly another BCS Title....GO BAMA---ROLL TIDE!!!
